Registered Proprietor Details

Purpose

There are certain circumstances where the vendor and the registered proprietor are different. In order for the SRO to correctly match the owner of the property as shown on the registration on the certificate of title, the registered proprietor’s details must be entered as part of your application.

What information will I need to complete the section?

You will need to know who is the registered proprietor of the property. This may be a deceased person or a trustee of a trust. This information can be found on a Certificate of Title.

Address Details

Address Details for the Registered Proprietor are not mandatory, however the supply of such details may assist the SRO to facilitate a faster turnaround time for delivery of the certificates.

In cases where you have supplied multiple Registered Proprietor details, only one address is provided if you decide to supply such details. The Address type can be House/Building/Shop where the address is a residential address and Lot where the address is not a residential address.

Multiple Registered Proprietors

In cases where a property is owned by more than 1 registered proprietor, you have the option to select up to 5 registered proprietors.

When more than one registered proprietor is selected, you must complete the details of the 2nd and subsequent registered proprietors on separate screens.

If there are more than 5 registered proprietors, you may still complete the application using the first 5 proprietors however, you may experience delays in processing.
