The Settlement Statement Code is located on the Settlement Statement, directly under the Form ID.
While the Settlement Statement Code can be generated by the purchaser or their representative, it should only be generated by the party or organisation who will be claiming the Settlement Statement as it contains the information required to assess land transfer duty.
Upon claiming the Settlement Statement, most of the data related to the duties transaction will auto-populate into Duties Online. You can continue editing the form by selecting ‘edit’ right up until you claim the form. Once the form is claimed, it can no longer be edited.
