Terms and conditions for online payments

The Online Direct Debit Payment Request Service Agreement between the State Revenue Office Victoria and yourself allows Westpac Banking Corporation (Westpac) on behalf of the State Revenue Office to withdraw amounts from your nominated account:

  • Only when you request them to be paid, and
  • Only for the amount that you specify for a particular payroll tax liability.

Our commitment to you

  • If we want to change this agreement we will notify you at least 14 calendar days in advance of any change. If you disagree with the change please notify us within those 14 calendar days.
  • Information relating to your nominated account will not be held by us and will only be used by Westpac to debit your nominated account for specific amounts as authorised by designated staff from your company via our e-business applications.
  • Where the payment date is not a business day, the payment will be drawn from your nominated account on the next business day.
  • If you dispute a payment, we will respond to you within 5 business days.

Your commitment to us

  • You will ensure your nominated account can be directly debited.
  • You will ensure there are sufficient funds available in the nominated account to meet the amount you authorise to be paid as at 4pm on the date of authorisation (or next business day if payment is authorised on a weekend or public holiday). In the event of a dishonour, we will contact you and late payment/default penalties may apply.
  • You will advise us if your nominated account is transferred or closed or the nominated account details change.
  • You will arrange a suitable payment method if we cancel the drawing arrangement.

Assistance
